Content will evolve as we learn to present information which is important to keep everyone informed. We encourage you to check the site regularly, as it will be our communications center.
About 85% of our members have an email address. Given the increasing costs of mailing, we will rely more on email to keep you informed. If an item is considered essential to everyone, we will use regular mail for those individuals whose email we do not have on file. If you know of someone who has not forwarded their email to our office, please encourage them to forward it to Beth Schneider, our Secretary, at bhschneider@bellsouth.net
Always advise Beth when you have a change of address, whether email or regular mail. We continue to experience email which is not deliverable because our records are out of date.
Please understand that the website is not a promotional vehicle for commercial purposes, such as items for sale, real estate or personal services businesses, nor is it an editorial or “letters to the editor” site. Your board’s intention is that this site be used for timely information to members only and a current resource for important Gingercake business items, such as By-Laws and Guidelines. Ed Slate and Emille Cox will coordinate the web site as we work out any technical problems and must approve all information published. Problems or concerns will be directed to me, or to Emille Cox, who is Vice-President.
Because a secure website cannot be guaranteed, we will not publish email addresses for board members or other members without their express permission. If you want to contact a board member, please refer to your membership directory.
As your recently elected President for this fiscal year, I look forward to seeing you and as I said at our annual meeting, we encourage ideas and suggestions. Please take the time to let us know how we can make Gingercake a better place for everyone.
Sincerely,
Bobby Turner
